Photo Tour of Saratoga

The City of Saratoga is located on the central western edge of Santa Clara County and is accessible by HWY 85 and HWY 9. It is south of Cupertino, west of Campbell and Los Gatos, and to the northwest of Monte Sereno. The population is over 30,000. There are good schools and low crime. Saratoga was incorporated in 1956. It is a quiet and beautiful area, carefully regulated in every way by local government to maintain quality of life and avoid excessive development. There are flat and hilly areas. There is an old downtown area which is carefully preserved. Saratoga is home to the arts at Villa Montalvo and a beautiful Japanese garden at Hakone Gardens. There is little shopping other than downtown but Saratoga is surrounded by other work and commerce centers in the Valley. The commute is not bad. Saratoga is home to some private schools like St. Andrew’s and the public schools are served by several school districts. The housing is expensive which is reflected by the high average income of its residents. The facilities of West Valley College provide man cultural and educational opportunities for residents.
