Los Gatos
The Town of Los Gatos is located in the central western quadrant of Santa Clara County south of Campbell and east of Monte Sereno and Saratoga. It is accessible by HWY 85, HWY 9 and HWY 17 which bisects the town, running north to highway 880 and south down to Redwood Estates and other Communities on the border with Santa Cruz County. The population of Los Gatos is under 30,000. It is a prestigious address with a carefully protected historic downtown offering endless cultural opportunities and high quality dining and shopping. There is low crime in the area and excellent schools. An annual tax for residents helps maintain school quality. The high school serves as a focal point for community activity. A vast array of parks and open spaces accommodate all types of recreational activity and ensure the continuance of wooded areas and pleasant views, including fall foliage. Old homes are being remodeled or rebuilt in favor of new larger homes. Parking and the commute can be problematic and walking in the downtown area is the preferred method of transportation for many. This is a very family friendly setting.
