Los Altos
The City of Los Altos is located in the northwestern portion of Santa Clara County to the east of Los Altos Hills, southwest of Mountain View, west of Sunnyvale, south of Palo Alto and North of Cupertino. HWY 280 and HWY 85 provide access to the area. It is a residential community, incorporated in 1952, with some small retail areas. Crime is low and the schools are good. There is a downtown area which provides shopping and dining. A library, parks and other facilities are available for the community. Los Altos tries to maintain a small town residential feel. The population is close to 30,000. It is an expensive area that is clean and well-maintained with many treelined streets.
