Photo Tour of Cupertino

The City of Cupertino is located in the central western part of Santa Clara County just north of Saratoga and south of Los Altos and Sunnyvale. It is accessible by HWY 85 and HWY 280. The population is over 52,000. Cupertino, incorporated in 1955, is known for its excellent schools. The area is diverse and enjoys low crime and a clean, well-maintained appearance. The De Anza Community College is the cultural center with the Flint Center for the Performing Arts offering many events. There are many high tech firms, including large companies like Apple and Hewlett-Packard, which helps funnel money into the improvement of schools. The area was developed for the middle class beginning around the 1950s. There are some hilly areas where home prices are higher though. The Vallco Fashion Park provides shopping. Dining in the area is good, particularly for Asian food. Recreational facilities and opportunities abound.
